I´ve been looking at Winona Ryder´s early movies lately, and she was def the it-girl of the 90´s. Starring in Tim Burton movies, and dating Johnny Depp in monochrome colors: all-black, all-white, or black & white were her thing. Loose blazers or a mens leather (biker) jacket high waisted light blue denims and converse sneakers. The woman pretty much invented the “off-duty model” -look. She is one of my heroes when it comes to the comfortable side of style, and still manage to be chic. Born in 1971, she´s turning 45 this year, but I´m still sure her signature style is there. I hope the twenty somethings of today know who invented the look.

I´ll be spending this week watching Beetlejuice, Heathers, Reality Bites and Girl, Interrupted. And rocking mom jeans at work with a black late 80´s blazer. Winona Forever.
