Amanda Yam Summer 2016 collection has artisan detailed summer looks, with modern full shapes made from denim. Collection was sponsored by Greenfibres organic fabrics. “I´m exploring the idea of the strength in women, the collection takes its inspiration from the 50s housewife aesthetic which has been heavily influenced by utilitarian work-wear and post-war design. By contrasting traditional embroidery techniques with heavy-duty fabrics, often associated with physical labour, the garments aim to combine the social roles of men and women to inspire a sense of utilitarian notions within female elegance.” says Amanda.
